The Man Who Peers Into Your Imagination

You know your interests are niche when your research topic returns less than 25 results in google and shows up as typo in Microsoft Word.

That is the exact situation I found myself in when I began my research and experimentation into manifestation and manipulation of imagination back in 2010.

The topic of my research is known in the field of psychology as a “paracosm” which are the fantasy worlds and extended fantasies we create.

Through self experimentation and trying out different techniques during my magic act, I was able to make a plethora of discoveries in the field which I presented at the Autonomous Learning World Caucus at Oxford University in 2012.

I have continued to experiment and incorporate my discoveries into my profession as a magician and now use them as the core part of my act.

I have shown and continue to show in my acts that a paracosm, rather than being a rare state of mind one loses with age, is actually a powerful and underutilized faculty of the mind.

The limits and potentiality of the paracosm had not even been scratched before my research with only one other researcher having embarked on a similar journey. This research was conducted back in 1930 by Carl Jung who documented his findings in his egregiously ignored Red Book.

I have discovered and demonstrated multiple qualities of the paracosm; some of which include:

  • Paracosms Have External Projections As Well As Internal Projections
  • Paracosms Can Be Encoded Into Art & Transmitted Peer to Peer
  • Paracosms Are Common & Accessible To Most People
  • Paracosm Can Be Utilized To Improve Performance, Mood & Creative Thinking
  • Paracosm Can Be Utilized For Reality Augmentation
  • Paracosm Are Tied To Shared Religious Phenomenology
  • Paracosms Are The Mechanic At Work In “Hypnosis”
  • Paracosm Can Be Utilized To Consciously Control The Placebo Effect

The last one I believe is the most important and needs to be researched further and I humbly request the help of scientists in the field of experimental psychology to assist me in pursuing research into this topic.

If my findings, which I have consistently demonstrated day in and day out in my magic shows, are true the potential for a wide variety of healing arts will be opened up to for therapeutic purposes which I am in no way qualified to do. Nor am I qualified to determine if my findings are this valuable or not which is why I am asking for help from true experts in the field.

The potential that I see being opened up by my concept of paracosmic work is that by enabling the practitioner to reliably and consistently generate a placebo effect, which has been show to be more effective than a wide variety of medications and therapies, combined with the non temporal nature of a paracosm would provide a low cost health care solution for a wide range of health issues that could be administered by a licensed psychotherapist as an alternative or alongside medication based interventions.

I think this is a good time to restate again that I am in no way qualified to administer any therapeutic services and I do not, in any capacity, do any psychological work in any of my shows or performance outside of the therapeutic effect that comes from having a good time and being entertained. That being said I would greatly appreciate being able to work with someone who is qualified so that they can help me further pursue this discovery I have made in paracosmic work.

In my future post I will expound upon my philosophical work in paracosm and I hope that this peek behind the scenes into the work that goes into my act has been enjoyable for you. I look forward to doing more magic for you all soon.

  1. Paracosm This is the first I have heard of that word… You never know what could be gained by further research.
